Our garden.

  • Wedding flowers planning

    plan it.

Our biggest goal in our floristry business was to grow our own supply of carefully selected blooms for our weddings. Every growing season our goal is to be able to plan ahead. Doing this allows us to carefully select the right colour palette, textures and of course taking the baby steps of expanding our knowledge in the world of growing.

  • Build it.

Starting out and putting together our garden was a huge task! Figuring out the best position of land to grow and of course the scale of how big or small it was going to be. Make no assumptions, we had a lot of things go wrong and made many mistakes. Taking the time to figure it all out is a wonderful thing and learning the growing craft along the way.

    Grow it.

Maintenance and care of our garden is one of the steps we really enjoyed. Watching all our seeds and tubers become beautiful flowers. that we can use in our wedding creations. All the hard work comes to this, enjoying the butterflies resting on the petals, the honeybees collecting the pollen and the beautiful collection of colours to look out on. A new founded appreciation for nature and how our eco system works.

We love flowers, but also love flowers that can only be supplied by local flower farmers. Taking the steps into being more self sufficient, eco friendly and most importantly doing our bit for mother nature.

When we got into growing, we had no idea of how much we would fall in love with it. It gave us a greater sense of understanding to nature and how everything is connected. Looking after our eco systems is so important for life, food and keeping the earth healthy. I have a strong desire to help our wee pollinators do their magic, without them where would our earth be? Growing flowers that are great for our pollinators is one of the key parts of selecting what we grow here in our cut garden.

We grow organically, meaning we do not use any chemicals or spray our flowers with any pesticides. All our methods are natural solutions both great for the flowers, soil and of course our working hands. Our vision is to to grow exclusively selected blooms for our weddings in peak season. Providing our couples with exclusively selected flowers that we love to work with as well as colours.

It is no surprise that our top growing flower in our cut garden are Dahlias! I just LOVE dahlias , they are one of my favourite flowers to work with. I I’m also a lover of Cosmos, Sweet Peas, Phlox and of course Zinnas. Over time we will add in different new varieties to give us a full range of different blooms.
